With each down-up of the needle and every swoosh of thread, a connection of some sort is occurring.
Layers of cloth are being connected to one another.
Threads are interlocking, laying down a path for the eye to follow.
Shapes and colors are being joined in a seemingly random fashion but when all is said and done, there is cohesion.
And something in my heart and mind is stitched together as well…thoughts, concerns, dreams…
…perhaps not answers but connection. A sense of all-is-well-for now. An ability to breathe amongst the frayed edges.
This is the Stitching life.
“…perhaps not answers but connection. A sense of all-is-well-for now.” This is so important for us to remember as we lug around our perfectionists mindset. It is important if we feel the pull towards daily mindfulness in the midst of the seemingly mundane daily tasks. It is important if we are to be grateful even when we don’t see the results/the end/the answers we want.

It is important to remember if we are to fully trust God to do His holy, perfect work in our lives.

“Breathe…” so often, such a fundamental process is taken for granted in our rush, rush world. What a lovely piece by a lovely lady. Blessings.
